G20 Work Week

The G20 is happening this weekend in downtown Toronto and I’ve been fortunate enough to work for a company that is allowing it’s employees to work from home during the week prior (June 21 – June 25); so of course I took them up on the offer.

My work week at home has been pretty amazing in that I’ve been able to accomplish so much more than I ever would had I been at the office. Aside from house work and the odd errand, I’ve been diving head first into my paintings and have been trying to accomplish as much as possible (in between work projects of course) so I can have a few more pieces to add to my portfolio.

The reason why I’m trying to get more painting done lately is because my husband got into a conversation with an employee at an art store who showed an interest in the idea of my art and had asked that I contact a gallery to inquire about showing my work there. So in order to do so though, I needed to have a couple more pieces of work as I have just recently started painting and don’t have the number of paintings as an established artist. So I’m playing catch up.

Hopefully by the end of the weekend, I’ll have a few more to add to my site.
